It's basically a simple F1 sweepstake system which requires people to run a sweep through friends or work collegues.

I have linked the files to organise the sweep on the page.

Last year through my sweep I hoped to get £85 for the charity and ended up with £180.

i fancy driving GTR2 and GTL on my 26" lcd tv, so i've bought a vga to ypbpr cable in the hope of achieving this aim

optimist that i am, i was expecting to plug it in a be on the grid in a flash

of course, this wasn't the case. i looked around on the net a bit and discovered that its not as simple to get working
as i was hoping

it seems that for a start, my graphics card needs to be able to output to ypbpr. its an nvidia 7300le, and from what
little i've been able to find out, i think that it does output to component connections

can someone confirm or refute this for me please?

the best result that i've been able to get so far is seeing the hp invent logo screen, albeit with messed up colours
and then it goes blank blue at the point i reckon windows is booting up

I went with my Uncle, Grandad and Brother and they all told me before that it was just a game and that its not real etc. My Uncle was adament that he was going to whoop my ass. And so were the others, i was actually quite nervous as i had never had a real life racing experience before on a track.

So we Set out on the 1st of 2 15 minute session with the soul intention of being quicker than the Guys, turns out i was faster than all of them after the first session, only 2 tenth quicker than my uncle though, i was also the 3rd quickest time out of all the drivers on track that day.

Second session i was feeling good and knew the track pretty well, the guys thought i was fluking it though i could tell, i said to my self, gunna get the fastest lap of the whole day now, this is nothing compared to some of the TTs we have done! Lotus elise tunes at Eiger anyone? lol, Second session was great, i lapped my brother and Dad haha. Quite a few funny moments also, At one point i was behind my Brother trying to get through, we went around a hairpin, he span and i ploughed into the side of him lol. the best bit though was the battle i had with my Dad, i was faster than him all around the track but i got stuck behind him for two laps, he wasnt letting me through for anything, i had to be careful though, its not like GT where i could take a chance at an overtake, i had to avoid contact at all cost, So eventually i got fed up, i had an Inside line and over took him clean, he had no idea that i was going to do it, he didnt think i had the audacity or the balls. Anyway i passed him, then on the the straight out of the Exit, the swine Pit manouvered me, i ended up backwards lol. im not sure if he done it on Purpose or Not haha.

Anyway moral of the story is, i did get the fastest lap of all the drivers that Drove that day. I got the paper to prove it aswell! Sim Racers 1 Doubters 0 ]]>

Once the game boards crap out in these popular Sega cabinets they are usually stripped for parts and can be acquired readily if you know a kindly arcade operator. The frame is over engineered and perfect for your project.

When: Now until Friday February 12th at 12:00PM PST

How to Take Part

Complete as many laps as you'd like at...

Midfield Raceway in Tourist Trophy Mode > Time Trial

Then save your fastest replay onto a USB stick from the replay theatre area, and keep it till the next race starts in case of a query

Deadline

The chequered flag is out in 1 weeks time, Sunday the 7th of February @6pm UK Time
Any entries submitted after 6pm UK Time will not count

Rules

1 - Pro-mode control only. Failure conditions/transmission is at your discretion
2 - Tyres and exhaust are up to you to decide, as are bike settings and riding form
3 - Any area beyond the rumble strips/kerbs is off-limits, in both qualifying and races
4 - No wall touching allowed
5 - No moving the ai out of the way
6 - No cheat braking™
7 - Always save your replays even if you dont think you'll be on the podium
8 - Races will last from Sunday to Sunday

submit as many times as you like before the deadline. final multilap race submissions to include laptimes, final hotlap submissions to
include splits
